Philips Norelco 2400 vs. 3600 vs. OneBlade 360: Which Should You Buy?
Two rotary shavers that share the same blades, and a hybrid trimmer that is a different tool. What the extra money for the 3600 buys, when the OneBlade is the right call, with prices we verified.
The decision problem
This is really two questions. First: do you want a close shave, or do you want stubble and clean edges? The 2400 and 3600 are rotary shavers built to take hair down to skin level. The OneBlade 360 is a trimmer-shaver hybrid built around a length comb. Answer that first and one of the three drops out. Second, if you want the close shave: is a more flexible head worth the price gap between the 2400 and the 3600?
2400 vs. 3600: what is actually different
According to both Amazon listings, the two share the same cutting system: 27 self-sharpening ComfortCut blades, a stated 2-year blade lifetime, and wet or dry use (with foam or gel, including in the shower). The listed differences are these:
- Head movement. The 2400 has 4D Flex Heads; the 3600 has 5D Pivot & Flex Heads, which the listing says flex and pivot in five directions to follow the face.
- What is in the box. The 2400 lists a pop-up trimmer, a protective cap and a USB-A cable. The 3600 lists a cap, a travel pouch and a USB-A cable; its listing does not mention a pop-up trimmer. Neither includes a wall adapter.
That is the whole spec gap on the listings. The 3600 costs more for a head that pivots as well as flexes; the 2400 is the one that ships with a trimmer for sideburns and mustache edges.
Where the OneBlade 360 fits
Its listing describes a blade that moves 12,000 times a minute, a 5-in-1 comb adjusting from 1 to 5mm, a dual-sided blade for edges, and an IPX7 waterproof body that works wet or dry. As a category principle, this style of tool trims and edges well and shaves close enough for most people, but it is not designed to match a rotary or foil shaver for smoothness on a full clean shave. If you keep a short beard or permanent stubble, it is the most useful of the three.
Who should buy which
- Norelco 2400 — you want a clean shave at the lowest price here and you would use the pop-up trimmer for sideburns.
- Norelco 3600 — you have tried a rotary shaver and it struggled on your jawline or neck, so a more mobile head is worth paying for, and you do not need a built-in trimmer.
- OneBlade 360 — you keep stubble or a short beard, you want one tool for length, edges and the occasional shave, or you prefer to shave in the shower.
What actually costs you money later
The listings describe two different running costs. The rotary shavers state a 2-year blade lifetime. The OneBlade states its blade lasts up to 4 months, with an indicator for when to replace it. Over a few years, replacement blades are part of the OneBlade's real price: before you choose it on sticker alone, price a replacement blade pack and add a few of them in.

Our read
For most people who want a clean shave, the 2400 is the one to buy: same blades and blade lifetime as the 3600, plus a trimmer in the box. Pay for the 3600 only if head mobility is a problem you already know you have. If you do not actually want to be clean-shaven, skip both and buy the OneBlade, while budgeting for its blades.
Limitations & alternatives
We compared these on what their Amazon listings state and on prices we verified. We have not tested shave closeness or skin irritation, and we do not quote battery or charging figures we have not verified; check each listing for those before buying. Very coarse or dense beards are where rotary shavers differ most, and a model higher in the range may suit them better than either of these.
